500 grams of certified organic beef mince
1 onion (chopped)
1 garlic clove (minced)
2 tablespoons of olive oil
1/2 teaspoon of oregano
1 teaspoon of fresh basil (chopped)
1 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
1/2 cup of breadcrumbs
Instructions
Start by preheating your oven to 200°C. Next, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the ground beef and cook until lightly browned. Add the oregano, basil, salt, and pepper and cook for an additional 2 minutes. Remove the mixture from heat and let cool. Next, in a large bowl, combine the beef mixture with the breadcrumbs. Using your hands, shape the mixture into meatballs, about 2 inches in diameter. Place the meatballs on a lightly greased baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Enjoy!
